Praise the Lord and Pray for Rest

Greetings in the name of the Lord! Apologies for the blog not being updated it was the result of long hours, late arrivals, and the internet being down, but all the problems we have here at camp are of good quality! We have lots of boisterous children, safely arrived from the villages, running around and wanting our attention (WHICH IS AWESOME!!)
Yesterday the children and the members of the Romanian team arrived. The rain from the previous days had caused some problems with transportation to the camp so the children started appearing around 6pm as opposed to the usual noon arrival. We had orientation then a wonderful evening of food and fellowship! Bedtime came very late, which hopefully will not be too common of an occurance, but the circumstances warrented it!
The members of the Romanian team are wonderful people with such a heart for service! The leader is the same man from last year, Ionuti, and a couple of others were here last year as well. We are looking forward to forming some friendships and a team which can reach the kids with the love intended for them by their Creator.
Special thanksgiving that we have had only one head of lice, which was a boy which makes it so much easier to deal with!!! That is totally an answer to prayer! We have another great thanksgiving that 15 of our 16 bags have made it to the camp! However we ask for sepcial prayers for Melissa who is without any of her personal effects or clothes. They do not know exactly where her bag is at the moment either. Patience and a joyful spirit, which she continues to exhibit, are the desired prayer. Special blessings for the other girls of the team for giving and sharing with her to help her make it through!
As the days proceed the team will continue to get more and more worn down so we ask that you pray for peace and rest! We are working together so well and we have been laughing and laughing! Such a wonderful team that the Lord has assembled, including you reading this!

We love and miss you all! Grace and peace! More from each team member to come!

  1. Thanks be to the One who designed and created us! It was good news about your luggage, and I'll continue to pray for Melissa! My Bible study prays for you for safe travel and Godly work. Thanks for letting us know what He is doing already and thank you for taking the time to write; we know you're busy. Work hard and know that you are dearly cherished and thought of, in Jesus' name.

  2. It sounds like y'all are experiencing the customary bumps in the road (and air). Thanks for keeping us up-to-date on your status as you are on my mind constantly.

We will sing especially loud with the Barlow Girl on Saturday in attempt to be heard across the continent, and the ocean by any of you who might even be homesick. On second thought, maybe that might you just feel sick, LOL!

    Blessings to you, my friends!
